Okay so i have been talking about this for soooooooo long but have neglected to put it on Tumblr or any of that stuff so BAM here it is haha.
We always talk about strippers and how they are glorifying this perverted lifestyle… blah blah blah…. But the same people who are saying its beyond unethical are the ones in the strip club all friggin weekend. For instance father who says he never wants his daughter to EVER consider doing something like stripping, but then you see him in the strip club friday night watching butt cheeks, rather than being at his daughters Volleyball game….(horrible but anyway)
Have we ever stopped to think that maybe the strippers aren’t the ones glorifying the lifestyle and maybe its the ones SUPPORTING them to do so??? maybe i’m a bit vague so i’ll provide you with a scenario.
One of my good friends brought up the fact that he wishes women would stop exploiting themselves and just go and find a regular 9 to 5…. (He’s a really good guy and does not go to strip clubs, nothing like the other guy mentioned above… we’ll call him father Bob…. and lets not forget men can also strip)….ok so lets look at that:
Think about it….
You’re someone that is considering stripping…. You look at the difference between a 9 to 5 and the strip job….
average 9 to 5 you make about $7. You multiply that by 6days a week that gives you $336 gross. you get your paycheck every two weeks ($672 gross). you multiply that by the month and then by the year and you’re making $16,128… and thats without taking out taxes and all that crap. (Thats effing ridiculous right?!?!)
Then you look at stripping. you work about 3 nights a week and on a bad night you make around $300. You’re making about $900 a week, $1800(net) every two weeks. you multiply that by the month and then year and you’re making roughly $43,200 and you don’t have to worry about taxes. (btw you making this money off of people that are working the same 9 to 5 that you were applying for). (Hell for a number like that maybe i should take up stripping on the side lol hahahahahah JOKING!!!!)
Here’s my point. If we as a society want to call this a perverted lifestyle and say that people should stop and find other occupations, then maybe we need to stop using the money we get from the average 9 to 5 to go and watch and support these people that “we want” to go and get a real job rather than stripping. They aren’t glorifying the lifestyle, we are by throwing all this money at them, and then we end up looking stupid because we don’t have money to pay the rent but the stripper you saw last night dun already moved into a 5bedroom 3 1/2bath suburban home that they can afford with the money that we have so effortlessly thrown their way just to see them show their ass….
It’s not the strippers fault that people like father Bob are stupid enough to support the very thing they are claiming to be against.
